Day One: A Safe Space

Essential Question: 

How can I understand my own emotions and create a respectful and safe space in school?

Objective: 

The workshop uses the film Beyond the River and practical activities to encourage students to reflect on their individual cultures, histories and backgrounds. They will think about the world in which they have grown up. These include things they’ve been in control of, and the things they’ve had no choice about. They will reflect on their values. In the end, learners will begin to enlarge their perspective and recognise diversity in their school and community..
