Welcome! We have created a toolkit that offers various methods to incorporate personal story-sharing into your teaching using What’s Your Story?

The What's Your Story? lessons are aligned to the Senior Phase CAPS General Outcomes for these subjects and are also appropriate for IEB schools.

The lessons have been categorised by subject and include two different categories for asking and listening and telling.

Our toolkit for each subject includes:

  • Lesson plans
  • Teacher training videos
  • Presentations
  • Handouts
  • Keyword lists
  • Audiovisual materials

As a starting point for all What’s Your Story? School activities, we strongly recommend that you begin by working through our short introduction module.

"As a teacher I love story-sharing. It helps you connect with your learners, get to know them better. It helps you understand why they behave the way they do."
