Workshops

For almost two decades, we have facilitated in-person workshops, trainings, motivational talks and conferences to over 250 000 people across South Africa and further abroad. More recently, we have added virtual events, conferences, webinars and virtual trainings to our stable. All of these serve to empower attendees to roll out various Heartlines projects.

We facilitate a range of workshops and trainings, largely based on our various projects. Our projects include:

  • Values & Money training: for schools, workplaces, churches and faith-based groups
  • What’s Your Story? workshops: Personal storytelling and story-sharing workshops for churches, leadership groups, teams, youth groups, workplace teams and families – Find out more [link to below]
  • Heartlines values training: promoting our first project, 8 Films, 8 Values and positive values in municipalities, workplaces, schools and faith groups
  • Fathers Matter workshops and talks

In addition, we also facilitate other topics relating to values promotion. These include:

  • Values promotion in schools, youth groups, workplaces, correctional services and faith groups.
  • Mentorship and youth-related workshops promoting positive values
  • Diversity, inclusivity and social cohesion in the workplace. Find out more.

A diverse team of facilitators

Our team of facilitators represent a diversity of backgrounds and cultural experiences. They also have a wealth of knowledge in youth facilitation, organisational and corporate trainings, and facilitating workshops for churches and faith groups. We believe in sharing authentically from our own lived experiences and our facilitators are able to relate to teams and groups of any age, race, language and context.

"The Heartlines facilitators and trainers did a sterling job. All our leaders trusted them because they had the right attitude. And they were from all different races, cultures, some were from the diaspora, men and women, young and old. They were excellent!”

What’s Your Story? workshops and Bridge leadership training

We conduct a number of trainings to equip you in personal storytelling, using the framework of “Ask. Listen. Tell.” These trainings can be used in various contexts, such as in churches or bible study groups, small groups, youth groups, schools, faith-based groups, campuses or workplaces. They include docu-style DVD stories of inspiring individuals. Email us to book at WYS training workshop

We also have resources to start conversations around Beyond the River, as an inroad to personal storytelling.

The Bridge leadership engagement is a two-day, offsite initiative that uses personal storytelling and dialogue as tools to build bridges between key leaders of a system or sector. Once these leaders have gotten to know each other’s stories, they can work together to solve critical issues within their system or industry. Email us to book a session for your leadership team.
