This collection features photographs of fathers and their children, captured over a number of years. It is often through children that a photographer gets invited into homes to meet families, and through families that they get to know a village. Inside a home, images of the intimate relationships between parents and children tell a poignant story.
This series of images was taken by Mark Lewis, an internationally-recognised photographer. Mark is based in Johannesburg, South Africa and has worked across the country and continent for various publications. His images tell stories of the lives that are carved out in search of economic opportunity, both in the city and rural areas. Follow him on Instagram @marklewisphotos.
