WHAT IS BLOGGING?
"Blog" is an abbreviated version of "weblog," which is a term used to describe web sites that maintain an ongoing chronicle of information. A blog is a frequently updated, personal website featuring diary-type commentary and links to articles or other Web sites. Blogs range from the personal to the political, and can focus on one narrow subject or a whole range of subjects.
Many blogs focus on a particular topic, such as web design, politics, sports, or mobile technology. Some are more eclectic, presenting links to all manner of other sites. And others are more like personal journals, presenting the author's daily life and thoughts.
HEARTLINES sees blogging as the ideal opportunity for EVERYONE to get involved in the NATIONAL CONVERSATION!
The Blog Content
The Blog consists basically of articles, written by bloggers of different designations. The "Authors" write articles called "Posts", which is also broken down into "Categories". Bloggers then have an opportunity to "air their views" and may then write articles in response, called "Comments". The whole blog is driven by time and date, so the latest Posts and Comments will be visible first.
The HEARTLINES blog will contain Articles/Posts and views on values written by a number of Authors under the various Value Categories (Accepting Difference, Responsibility, Forgiveness, Perseverance, Self-Control, Honesty, Compassion, Second Chances as well as a General Values Category) and everyone is invited to register and respond with their views as Comments.

HOW TO BLOG
Once registered on the HEARTLINES blog, you will need to login each time in order to write Comments.
Once logged in, you will first be taken to "Your Profile" page where you can insert further personal info as you wish. Once you have updated all personal info, you can proceed to the blog by selecting the link "View Site".
There you will see various Posts made by Authors. Below each post you will see 2 links, one to the respective Category under which a Post has been made, and another for Comments.
In order to write a Comment, please select the Comment link. Once you have reached the respective Cateogory page, you will see a "Leave a Reply" text box below a Post. Insert your Comment and click the "Submit Comment" button. Your Comment will then be posted to the Blog.
In some circumstances, depending on the Comment content, your Comment may go through to the Blog Administrator for moderation before being published on the blog.
HOW TO START
In order for you to post comments online, you will need to register.
STEP 01: REGISTER
Please proceed to the Registration page by clicking on the "Register" button at the top of the page under "Quicklinks".
Once there, you will need to click on the registration link which is on the right-hand side of the page under the menu heading "Meta".
Once at the registration page, you will need to insert a username and your email address, the blog will automatically generate a password for you, which you may change once registered on the blog.
STEP 02: LOGIN
Once you are a registered user, you will be able to access the HEARTLINES Blog by linking to the blog from this page using the "GO BLOGGING" button at the top of the page under "Quicklinks", and once on the blog page, clicking on the "Login" link under "Meta".
